Ruddington Beer Festival
It’s ‘Ruddfest 2023’! Ruddington’s annual beer, cider, gin, food and music festival is on until Sunday 28th May. This year over 100 beers and ciders are available – until they run out! – across participating venues from 12-noon.
Ruddfest will be centred around the main marquee on The Green, along with The Frame Breakers, and the White Horse and Red Lion pubs are joining in today (26th May).
Organiser John Noble says: “The village green will have the usual set-up, as in previous years, with beer, cider, and a premium spirits wall with flavoured gin, vodka and rum. We will also have some live acoustic music and the usual DJ playing Friday and Saturday. The Frame Breakers is involved and will be hosting a stall from The Ruddington Arms doing their ‘Ruddy Clucker’ chicken and loaded fries. Plus The Grange will be here, too, with their hog roast sandwiches.”
Ukraine donation baskets will also be available at this event because the organisers do regular humanitarian trips there. John and Dave Frankie hope people will donate their £1 glass deposit when they have finished to this good cause. Their next trip is due to start on June 10th.
Organisers ask you to drink responsibly – and come to RuddFest using public transport, if possible. Nottingham City Transport’s Navy 3 and Green 10C/10X and the NottsBus Connect Service 863 all serve The Green.
